Chuck Ramsay is a recently retired mass communications professional, having spent 40-plus years in advertising and public relations working for agencies, Fortune 500 companies, smaller firms, and non-profits. He held positions managing marketing communications departments with supporting staff, as well as one-person departments where he wore many hats drawing upon multiple disciplines including copywriting, graphic design, web design and photography during his career. He has shepherded campaigns for a diverse range of products and services including management of strategic communications and branding.
He is a graduate of Saint Louis University with honors (B.A. Communications), and served in the United States Air Force in both domestic and overseas assignments (Southeast Asia). He has participated regularly in continuing education seminars spanning digital communications and new technologies, wholesale distribution, and public policy. He has written feature articles and columns for several publications over the years covering the burgeoning personal computer/desktop publishing industry, trends within the automotive aftermarket, and the legal profession in St. Louis.
Chuck is an ardent City-living advocate, enjoys reading and almost anything in the arts, is re-learning the guitar, tutors reading at local St. Louis Public Schools during the school year, follows local politics, and pursues his interest in editorial and fine art photography documented at www.chuckramsay.com.
Chuck has two daughters and five grandchildren, lives within steps of Tower Grove Park and the Botanical Garden in an 85-year old building that cries out for attention regularly, and tolerates one adorable tabby cat named Beverly.
